HC Ambrì-Piotta wins playout final against HC Ajoie

Despite firing their coach in an attempt to shake things up, HC Ajoie was unable to mount a comeback and lost Game 4 of the playout finals on home ice. The game ended with a 3-0 score in favour of HC Ambrì-Piotta, with goals from Formenton and Joly (two goals).

With this win, HC Ambrì-Piotta put an end to their season, while HC Ajoie has to wait and see who will be crowned champion of the Swiss League. HC Sierre, which did not apply for promotion, is leading 1-0 in the series against HC La Chaux-de-Fonds with Game 2 underway this evening. The League Qualification will be played only if HC La Chaux-de-Fonds becomes the champion.
