What was already presumed to be a given thing has now been confirmed by the club - the Czech is going to leave after five years as part of them.

The possibility of a departure was already reported in January, when it was revealed that several Czech teams were trying to lure the forward back to his home country. At least one part of the equation has now been confirmed - Matěj Stránský is leaving HC Davos after this season.

Over the course of his stint with Davos, Stránský has always finished the season as either first or second in points on the team. This past winter, he accumulated 28 goals and 25 assists in 53 games, with the playoffs still to come. In total, he stands at 442 points recorded in a Davos jersey. Last summer, Stránský took over as captain from Andres Ambühl.

It is not yet confirmed where the 32-year-old will end up, but all signs point to HC Dynamo Pardubice.
