According to Expressen, Rasmus Asplund is interested in returning to Europe. While there seems to be interest from the SHL (namely Rögle BK), the Swede will more likely end up in Switzerland if he does not receive a good offer from an NHL team.
HC Davos is supposedly "close to getting their hands on him." It remains to be seen, whether Asplund, who has been playing in North America since the 2018-19 season, really will settle down in the Landwasser Valley.
The 27-year-old forward has been part of the Florida Panthers' organization for the past two seasons but mainly played for their AHL affiliate, the Charlotte Checkers. This season, he has recorded 17 goals and 21 assists in 55 games for them.
