With just a few days remaining before the start of the 2025-26 season, Michael Fora has already taken care of his expiring contract in Davos by signing a five-year deal with Lausanne HC. The back-to-back finalists of the National League will be the third club of the 29-year-old defender in Switzerland, following stops with HC Ambrì-Piotta and HC Davos.
John Fust, team manager of Lausanne HC, values Michael Fora not only for his on-ice qualities but also for his off-ice attributes: “With Michael, we are signing much more than just a solid defenseman: we are welcoming a leader who is recognized and respected on every rink. His presence, international experience, and personality are exactly what we want to instill in our team.”
Fora will soon start his fourth season in Davos. Last year, he put up 20 points in 53 games with HCD. Moreover, internationally he represented Switzerland at six editions of the World Championship and at the 2022 Olympics. With the national team he brought home three silver medals (2018, 2024, 2025).
On a side note, Grégory Beaud ("Blick") reveals that Lausanne HC has also announced the extension of John Fust's contract until 2029.
