As "Blick" already reported yesterday, the 25-year-old forward has agreed to a four-year deal with the Dragons and will stay until the end of the 2029-30 season.

Sandro Schmid has been of interest to several teams, among them Lausanne HC, SC Bern, Genève-Servette HC, and EV Zug. However, the forward decided to stay with HC Fribourg-Gottéron and signed a deal with the team that will keep him in Fribourg for the long term.
The forward has appeared in 18 games for the Dragons this season, recording four goals and twelve assists.
