The 20-year-old defenseman has agreed to a two-year deal which includes an option for an additional season.
"After a settling-in period, he has improved a lot and has become an important part of our defense," Gerd Zenhäusern, team manager of HC Fribourg-Gottéron, said. "His physicality and determination are two major assets for our defense. We are convinced that he still has a lot of room for improvement."
Maximilian Streule is a product of the ZSC Lions' organisation and is playing his first season at the pro level. In 46 games, he has recorded three goals and two assists this season.
