The 31-year-old forward has agreed to a four-year contract with the Dragons, valid until the end of the 2026-27 season.
Mottet had a contract in place with HC Fribourg-Gottéron for this season but has now decided to sign an early contract extension. Mottet is a product of the Dragons' organization and has, with the exception of two seasons, only ever played for them on a professional level.
Last season, the forward recorded 18 goals and 25 assists in 49 games for HCFG and added five goals and five assists (nine games) to his tally in the postseason. He was also part of the national team at the Beijing Olympics.
