HCD adds Roope Taponen to the roster, Hollenstein done for the season

HC Davos will have to make do without Luca Hollenstein for the remainder of the season. The 25-year-old suffered his injury in the game against EHC Kloten after hit to his knee in the 43rd minute of play. He will undergo surgery in the upcoming days. 

Due to Hollenstein's absence, HC Davos has decided to sign Finnish goaltender Roope Taponen, who is currently under contract with Ilves Tampere. He appeared in six games for them this season (.843 save percentage), in one game for Kiekko-Espoo (.833 save percentage), and in one game for Imatran Ketterä (.931 save percentage). 

He also joins HC Davos on a loan basis and will reinforce the National League team for the remainder of the season. Taponen has a contract in place with Ilves until 2027.
