The goaltender suffered several fractures in his right ankle and foot. He sustained the injury through a fall in his spare time. As Niklas Schlegel is also injured, the Bianconeri have decided to sign Adam Húska.
Húska, 27, is a goaltender who last suited up for Torpedo Nizhny Novgoro, posting a .914 save percentage in 45 regular-season games. The Slovakian netminder was drafted by the New York Rangers and played in the AHL for several seasons before returning to Europe in 2022.
Húska will arrive in Lugano on Wednesday and then undergo medical exams. His contract is valid until the end of the 2024-25 season.
