With the season-long loan to HC Sierre, HC Lugano essentially bid farewell to Stéphane Patry, who has been with the Bianconeri since the 2022-23 season. The 25-year-old forward already appeared with Sierre's jersey a few years ago on loan from Genève-Servette HC.

Additionally, HC Lugano and HC Sierre have reached an agreement for an extension of the collaboration concerning Roberts Cjunskis. The young Latvian forward will continue to play in Sierre as part of his formative project, based on a B-license.

Head coach and team manager Chris McSorley is looking forward to working with them: "We're delighted to welcome Roberts and Stéphane to our squad for the coming season. They are two talented players with an excellent attitude and plenty of room for improvement. Roberts already showed last year the energy he could bring to the team, and Stéphane will bring all his experience from the top level. Their integration fits in perfectly with our sports project."
