Another Finnish player for EHC Biel: Jere Sallinen has signed a one-year contract with the Seelanders. He joins them from the Liiga's IFK Helsinki. With the new addition, Biel now has four imports signed for the upcoming season.

"Jere Sallinen is a polyvalent forward who can be used in different positions and in all game situations," Biel's team manager Martin Steinegger says. "Jere is a leader with great experience at club and international level."

Jere Sallinen has spent most of his career in either Finland or Sweden, with one season (2016-17) overseas as a member of the Edmonton Oilers. He only got to play in the AHL though. During the last two years with Helsinki, Sallinen recorded 41 goals and 37 assists in 106 games. He is a regular member of the Finnish national team.
