The 18-year-old forward has signed a three-year contract with the Dragons, valid until the end of the 2026-27 season.
"Jan Dorthe is a product of our organization. He's a talented young forward with plenty of room for improvement. He's a responsible center with a real willingness to learn," Gerd Zenhäusern, team manager of HC Fribourg-Gottéron, said.
Dorthe played for the Dragons until 2023. Last summer, he decided to play in Sweden, suiting up for Västerås IK. He played nine games for the first team but mostly appeared in games for their U20 team.
