National League

When HC Ajoie will be over with their season, the 35-year-old defender will hang up his skates for good.

As his current club announced, Jannik Fischer has decided to call it a career after 16 full pro seasons. In just a few weeks, the defenseman will play his last games with HC Ajoie and then retire from professional hockey. In addition to HC Ajoie, Fischer also suited up for EV Zug, Lausanne HC, and HC Ambrì-Piotta.

Over the course of his career, Fischer played in more than 700 National League and 200 Swiss League games, winning a Spengler Cup with HCAP and the Swiss League championship with Lausanne in 2013, the most special memory for Fischer, as he reveals in his farewell video.
