HC Lugano will dedicate a special tribute to the 37-year-old forward at this Saturday's season-end party.

Julian Walker has decided to put an end to his playing career. A product of SC Bern's organization, the forward has appeared in over 900 National League games throughout his career. 

Walker played his first professional game for SC Bern in the 2004-05 season. After three seasons with EHC Basel, he signed with HC Ambrì-Piotta in 2008 and stayed with them until 2012. He then played one season with Genève-Servette HC but returned to the Ticino in 2013, signing with HC Lugano

He has played for the Bianconeri ever since, appearing in over 500 games for them. He also played in several World Championships for Switzerland and was part of the team that won the silver medal in 2013.
