As "La Liberté" reports, Killian Mottet's loan agreement does not stipulate that the player will take to the ice for the Dragons during the regular season. However, his contract contains an option for the Spengler Cup. As Gerd Zennhäusern tells the newspaper, that does not mean, though, that he really will play for them in the traditional tournament.
Speaking of Mottet's loan agreement, HC Fribourg-Gottéron still will have to take on about half of the forward's salary. The money that has been freed up through the loan will, however, not be used to acquire another Swiss player or at least not right now, says Zenhäusern: "You know how Swiss hockey works. It might be that another club is also looking to part with one of its players. If it's a great opportunity, one that only arises every three or four years, we'll think about it. "
