The Biancoblù are looking for a new head coach for the next season. At the moment, the team is coached by Eric Landry. The 50-year-old Canadian succeeded Luca Cereda and is serving as an interim head coach until the end of the current season.

As the "NZZ" speculates, Lars Leuenberger and Christian Wohlwend will likely be high on the list of potential head coaching candidates. Leuenberger currently works as an assistant coach for HC Fribourg-Gottéron. Wohlwend, for his part, is the head coach of EHC Olten. They both have valid contracts until 2027.

The "Oltner Tagblatt" also commented on the report by the "NZZ". Wohlwend has an out clause in his contract with the Swiss League team, but the clause cannot be activated during the season. The newspaper also speculates that Wohlwend might also become of interest to EHC Biel. The team just relieved Martin Filander of his duties.
