Last summer, Théo Rochette signed a two-year contract with Lausanne HC. However, he decided to stay with his QMJHL-team, the Québec Remparts, instead. As LHC has now announced, the youngster will be joining them for the coming season.
"Théo has once again had a great season with the Québec Remparts", team manager John Fust notes. "We have been following his performances throughout the year, and we feel he is ready to join us. We think he can bring a lot to the team, and we are looking forward to seeing him back."
Having spent a lot of his junior time in Lausanne's organization, Rochette moved to Canada to play in the QMJHL in 2018. First, he was a member of the Chicoutimi Saguenéens, then was eventually traded to the Remparts. This spring, the 21-year-old won the Memorial Cup with them. He returns to Lausanne with 315 games, 129 goals and 235 assists under his belt.
