Loan for Zug's stadium expansion approved by cantonal council

A loan of 35 million francs has been granted to EV Zug for the purpose of financing their stadium expansion. "We would like to thank the Government Council, in particular Finance Director Heinz Tännler and the commissions for their preparatory work for our reputation", the club's CEO Patrick Lengwiler is cited.

The motion was approved with 71 votes for and only one against. "It is a recognition of the great social and economic importance of the EVZ for the region on the part of Zug's politicians and a commitment to the important expansion of the arena", Lengwiler comments on the clear result.
