The 26-year-old defenseman has signed a two-year deal with the Lakers, valid until the end of the 2027-28 season.
Luca Capaul is currently in his third season with the Lakers. The defender, who is described by his team manager Claudio Cadenau as "strong and robust player in duels", is a product of EHC Chur's organization.
Capaul has appeared in 16 games for the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers this season, recording two assists.
