One day after the news that Lucas Wallmark had asked for and received the termination of his contract with the ZSC Lions, HC Fribourg-Gottéron has announced the signing of Lucas Wallmark, who thus stays in Switzerland.

The 27-year-old Swede is the sixth import player on HCFG's payroll for the upcoming season joining defenders Ryan Gunderson ((USA)) and Andreas Borgman ((SWE)), and forwards Jacob de la Rose ((SWE)), Marcus Sörensen ((SWE)) and Chris DiDomenico ((CAN)). Fribourg is not planning on signing any more imports.

Christian Dubé, coach and team director of HC Fribourg-Gottéron: "I am very pleased that Lucas has chosen Fribourg to continue his career. His winning mentality and game intelligence will make him an important building block for the coming seasons."
