Manix Landry used to play for HC Ambrì-Piotta's junior team way back when his father Eric used to play for the first team. That is why he has a Swiss players' license. Omar Gargantini ("RSI") reported already at the end of January that Swiss teams had taken an interest in the forward.
Landry played five seasons of junior hockey in QMJHL and captained the Gatineau Olympics for several seasons before being traded to the Drummondville Voltigeurs.
