The 36-year-old defenseman is at the end of his contract with Genève-Servette HC and will also not play for SC Bern next season.
Christian Wohlwend, head coach of HC Ajoie, confirmed to Klaus Zaugg ("Watson") that Marco Maurer is one of the candidates they are looking at to reinforce their defense,
Maurer was under contract with Genève-Servette HC this season but was loaned to SC Bern in January. The defender recorded one assist in 24 games for the Bears.
