Two weeks ago, Expressen reported that Swiss teams were interested in acquiring Marcus Sylvegård after he had cleared waivers. He did, however, join the Växjö Lakers instead and will suit up for them for the remainder of the season.
However, the same source now reports, the forward will not stay in Sweden for too long. He has supposedly agreed to terms with EHC Biel and is expected to join the National League team next season. HC Lugano also showed interest in the forward.
Sylvegård has appeared in 35 games for the Springfield Thunderbirds this season, recording ten goals and eleven assists.
