It is no secret that Marc Gautschi, team manager of Genève-Servette HC, is trying to acquire the 31-year-old forward.
According to Klaus Zaugg ("Watson"), Gautschi has been successful in his endeavour and has signed Markus Granlund to a two-year contract. He would thus play together with fellow Finns, Teemu Hartikainen (34) and Sakari Manninen (32).
The deal has yet to be confirmed by the club, but, according to Zaugg, Finnish sources have confirmed to him that the deal is done. Markus Granlund appeared in 20 games for HC Lugano last season, recording four goals and twelve assists.
