Matteo Romanenghi to reportedly extend with HC Ajoie

According to information gathered by "HeShootsHeScoores", the 28-year-old will stay with the Ajoulots for at least one more season.

Signed in March to a one-year contract with an option for an additional season, apparently, HC Ajoie and Matteo Romanenghi have agreed on activating the said option. It would be the fourth season in the Ajoie for Romanenghi, who joined them in 2021 after several years in Lugano.

This season, Romanenghi suited up in 19 games for the Ajoulots, scoring two goals and collecting three assists. Moreover, with 1:43 minutes per game, Romanenghi is the second most used forward of HC Ajoie in the penalty kill, only behind Frédérik Gauthier.
