The SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers have chosen to activate the option in the 26-year-old defenseman's contract.
Matthew Kellenberger will thus stay with the National League team until the end of the 2025-26 season. The defenseman had signed a short-term deal with the Lakers but was now able to convince the National League team's coaching staff of his qualities.
Kellenberger has appeared in twelve games for the Lakers this season, recording two goals and two assists.
