The 18-year-old defenseman will thus play the 2023-24 season in the National League.
The Montreal Canadiens cut their roster from 68 players to 33. Reinbacher was drafted by the Canadiens this summer and got his first opportunity to play in preseason games with the NHL team.
The defenseman will now return to EHC Kloten to play in the championship in Switzerland. Last season, he recorded three goals and 19 assists in 46 regular-season games.
