No Irish exit - Ajoie relieves Greg Ireland of his duties

As HC Ajoie announces, they have parted ways with head coach Greg Ireland, effective immediately. He would still have had a season left on his contract after signing an extension just a bit over a year ago. In the Canadian's stead, team manager Julien Vauclair will head the squad for the remainder of spring, however long that will be for Ajoie.

It is the fourth time that Vauclair is taking over the duties of (interim) head coach; he did so in February and December of 2022, as well as in October of 24 for ten days, after which Ireland was hired as his successor.

At the moment, Ajoie is down 0-3 in the playout final series versus HC Ambrì-Piotta, with Game 4 taking place tomorrow Tuesday.
