As rumored, the Czech forward has indeed decided to return to his home country for the next three and a half seasons.

To release Michael Špaček from his contract and allow him to sign with HC Sparta Praha, a financial agreement was found between Genève-Servette HC and the club from the capital of Czechia. Špaček joined the Grenats at the beginning of the current season after two years with HC Ambrì-Piotta. Among his new teammates, Špaček will play alongside Filip Chlapík, with whom he already suited up in Ambrì.

On a side note, Klaus Zaugg writes on "Watson" that Lausanne HC's Tim Bozon will join Genève-Servette HC next season, thus confirming the report of "Blick" from last month.
