EV Zug has announced Paolo Duca as its new CEO and successor to Patrick Lengwiler. The 45-year-old served as team manager at HC Ambrì-Piotta from 2017 to October 2025. EV Zug is no stranger to him; he played for the Kolinstadt-based team for five and a half years during his active playing career.
“EVZ is close to my heart. I’m really looking forward to my new role as CEO and would like to thank the Board of Directors for their trust,” says Duca about his new position. “Now I want to use my experience to help EVZ celebrate successes both on and off the ice.”
“We are very pleased that we were able to fill the vacant CEO position with an excellent candidate in Paolo Duca,” said Hans-Peter Strebel, Chairman of the Board of Directors. “With his many years of experience in the industry, Paolo is the right man for this position.”
Duca will thus be part of the executive board, alongside the new team manager, Ted Suihkonen. The club has also finalized the client representation for the expansion of the OYM hall. Board member Adrian Risi will take on this role together with the project developer, Balz Käppeli.
