The 36-year-old forward is currently still a free agent and has not yet signed a contract for the 2024-25 season.
According to Pierre LeBrun (The Athletic), he is still waiting for an NHL opportunity to arise. However, rumor has it he is also looking to maybe get in some games, apparently in the "Swiss League", meaning the National League.
It remains to be seen whether we will see him playing in Switzerland at some point. Kessel played for the Vegas Golden Knights last season, recording 14 goals and 22 assists in 82 regular-season games.
