The 32-year-old forward has signed a two-year deal with the National League team and will thus stay until the end of the 2027-28 season.
Except for the 2023-24 season, Pontus Åberg has been playing in Switzerland since the 2022-23 season. He suited up for Kloten at the backend of the 2024-25 season, then moved to the ZSC Lions, only to return to EHC Kloten at the end of this season.
In 41 regular-season games for ZSC, he recorded seven goals and 13 assists. In the six games he played for Kloten this season, he put up two goals and one assist.
