Pontus Åberg left his mark on the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers in the second half of the 2022-23 season. Having joined in December, he put up eleven goals and twelve assists in 28 games with them. Then, when summer came around, the forward left for the KHL's Barys Astana. As HockeyNews.se now writes, the Swede might be returning to Rapperswil.
In his season with Astana, Åberg put up 17 goals and 20 assists in 64 games.
