The 32-year-old forward has agreed to a one-year deal with the Ajoulots, valid until the end of the 2025-26 season.

Reto Schmutz has been with HC Ajoie since the 2017-18 season but also suited up for them from 2012 to 2014. The forward will thus start his eleventh season in Porrentruy this autumn.
Schmutz suited up in 25 games for the Ajoulots last season, recording two goals and two assists. He also played three games for EHC Olten, putting up one goal and one assist.
