After a few days of rumors and speculation, the confirmation has now arrived: for the next two seasons, Daniel Voženílek will be a member of EV Zug. With the latest acquisition, the club now has six imports under contract for the upcoming season: three defenders and three forwards.

"Daniel is a power forward who goes where it hurts and is extremely strong in duels," states team manager Reto Kläy, describing Voženílek's qualities. "He can be used both as a center and a wing. We are pleased that Daniel has decided in favor of EV Zug despite various offers and is 100 percent committed" concludes Kläy.

This past season, Voženílek scored 25 goals and collected 32 assists in 71 Extraliga games, winning the championship with HC Oceláři Třinec. The previous season, he also won the Czech championship, receiving the award for playoffs MVP. Internationally, he won the gold medal a few weeks ago at the World Championship.
