Sam Hallam to coach Genève-Servette HC as of the 2026-27 season?

The Grenats already have a head coach in place for the next season: Yorick Treille.  There are, however, rumors that might change in 2026.

According to Klaus Zaugg ("Watson"), Marc Gautschi, team manager of Genève-Servette HC, is trying to hire Sam Hallam for the 2026-27 season. The 45-year-old Swede is currently the head coach of the Swedish national team and has a contract in place until 2026. 

Hallam already succeeded in his thirties, winning three SHL titles with the Växjö Lakers. He was their head coach for ten seasons. In 2022, he signed with the Svenska Ishockeyförbundet and has coached the national team ever since.
