SC Bern bids farewell to a few players, confirms new assistants

Back in December, Elvis Schläpfer joined SC Bern in exchange for Yanick Sablatnig, who went the other way to EHC Biel. The forward now has to find a new home again, as his contract with the Bears is not being extended. The same goes for defenseman Lukáš Klok, who had joined Bern in November from the KHL.

The departures of netminder Philipp Wüthrich (HC Ambrì-Piotta), defenseman Patrik Nemeth (HC Fribourg-Gottéron), as well as forwards Vincent Ryser (EHC Visp), Thierry Bader (ZSC Lions), and Austin Czarnik have already been previously announced.

Also already reported last December (by the "Berner Zeitung"), the club from the Swiss capital has confirmed that they are replacing their assistant coaches. Mikael Håkanson and Christer Olsson are out, Patrick Schöb and Pasi Puistola are in. The former has been working as head coach for the Swiss U17 national team, the latter as assistant for Tappara.

Besides the fluctuation in the main squad, SCB Future AG is seeing some changes, too. Nik Hess is taking over management, Head of Training Beat Wälte is retiring and being succeeded by Marc Weber, Stefan Schneider is the new Head of Junior Sports.
