As anticipated by Klaus Zaugg two weeks ago, Davyd Barandun has decided to leave HC Davos at the end of the current season and join SC Bern for the next three years. A member of HC Davos' organization since 2014, Barandun will thus begin a new chapter in his career.
Despite his young age, the defender already brings experience to the team: "At 25, he is in his prime and already has nine years of experience at the National League level, establishing himself as a consistent and reliable player. With his straightforward and efficient style of play, he will further stabilize our defense," states team manager Diego Piceci.
Additionally, the club has announced the extension of 20-year-old forward Alain Graf. The youngster debuted in the main squad last season, and this year, he has already scored four goals. Diego Piceci praises his development: “Alain has developed excellently. He has a strong shot, very good game awareness, brings toughness to the game, and holds the game together even at a young age."
Finally, the club informs that they offered professional contracts to two of their young players: 20-year-old forwards Kevin Zürcher (until 2027) and Levin Moser (until 2028). Both have come up through the youth ranks at SC Bern and made their National League debut in the 2024-25 season. In the current season (including the Champions Hockey League), Kevin Zürcher has made seven appearances so far, Levin Moser twelve.
