The Bears' roster for the 2025-26 season has taken on a clearer shape with today's announcement. Three players will also leave the team.

Waltteri Merelä, Simon Kindschi, and Adam Reideborn will all stay in the capital city beyond this season. The forward, the defenseman, and the goaltender have all agreed to one-year contracts and will thus remain part of SC Bern's organization at least until the end of the 2025-26 season.

The Bears have also acquired a new forward for the next season: Mats Alge will suit up for SC Bern. The 21-year-old forward joins SCB from the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers and has agreed to a two-year deal, valid until the end of the 2026-27 season.

Austin Czarnik, the leading scorer of the Bears, and Yanick Sablatnig, on the other hand, will take on new challenges next season, SC Bern announces. Both have decided to search for their luck elsewhere. As the "Berner Zeitung" writes, Sablatnig has signed with EHC Biel, while a report from "Watson" from a few days ago put Czarnik on Lausanne HC's radar. Additionally, according to the "Berner Zeitung", Thierry Bader will also leave the team as he was not offered a new contract.
