SCB signs Alexander Iakovenko & extends contracts of four players

Alexander Iakovenko has signed a one-year contract with the Bears. EHC Biel already confirmed his departure back in March. The 27-year-old defenseman recorded two goals and 18 assists in 52 regular-season games last season. 

Joël Vermin and Romain Loeffel both received automatic contract extensions as they achieved their set performance targets. They will stay in Bern until the end of the 2026-27 season.

Baumgartner and Ritzmann, for their part, signed two-year contract extensions. Ritzmann's new contract includes an option for an additional season.
