The ZSC Lions and Alessandro Segafredo have mutually agreed to dissolve their valid contract. Joshua Fahrni will join the team instead.

Segafredo had asked the ZSC Lions to be let out of his contract to join the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers. The 21-year-old's new deal with the team will be valid until 2028.

“Alessandro is still very young, yet he already has international experience, which makes him a valuable asset for us,” said Claudio Cadonau, the Lakers' team manager. Last season, the Italian national player played eight games (two points) for ZSC and a total of 42 games (19 points) for the GCK Lions.

The Lions have, however, already found a replacement. They have signed Joshua Fahrni to a one-year deal. He was last under contract with the SCL Tigers.

“We're getting a forward who can play both center and wing and is a right-handed shooter, which gives us more flexibility in our lineup,” said ZSC's team manager Sven Leuenberger, commenting on the transaction.

Due to injuries, Fahrni played only 20 games (no points) for the Tigers last season. He also appeared in five games (three assists) for EHC Chur in the Swiss League.
