The contract of the 32-year-old goaltender will expire at the end of the current season, but there seems to be some movement regarding his contractual situation.
According to the "Tages-Anzeiger", there are rumblings that Simon Hrubec and the ZSC Lions are close to signing a new deal. The Czech goaltender would thus stay in Zürich for at least another season.
Hrubec has been with the ZSC Lions since the 2022-23 season. This season, he has appeared in 23 regular-season games, posting a .933 save percentage.
