National League

The 38-year-old captain of EHC Kloten will stay in the organization. Which position he will take up will be announced at a later date.

A couple of weeks ago, Steve Kellenberger told "Blick" that the club and he were still in the talking stages and where looking at their options. The veteran defenseman has now officially decided to retire.

Kellenberger is a product of EHC Kloten's organization and, with the exception of a couple of seasons with EHC Biel, has only ever been under contract with Kloten.

The defenseman has appeared in 718 regular-season games in the National League as well as 180 in the Swiss League. He won one Swiss League title and one Swiss Cup with Kloten. This season, he has recorded four assists in 44 games.
