Strong interest on both sides between Zug and Fribourg's Raphael Diaz

Raphael Diaz and his longtime home of EV Zug might be able to celebrate a reunion soon. As the "Luzerner Zeitung" writes, there is strong interest in a joint future from both club and player and talks are close to being completed. It has already previously been reported that Diaz is presumed to leave his current team, HC Fribourg-Gottéron, once his contract is up this spring.

This season so far, the veteran defenseman - he turns 39 in two days, on January 9 - has suited up 34 times in the National League. In addition, he made six Champions Hockey League appearances and played in all four of Fribourg's Spengler Cup games.
