According to "Blick", Reto Schäppi has not yet been issued a new contract offer by team manager Sven Leuenberger. While they seem to be happy with his play this year, they are also looking to integrate more of their prospects.
As Schäppi tells the newspaper, he partially understands that but it is also "very hard" for him. While it is not yet excluded that he will get an offer from the ZSC Lions, he also has to think about his future.
"I had hoped that I would end my career with the ZSC Lions one day. But now I have to seriously look at alternatives," Schäppi, who has put up one goal and two assists in 20 games this season, states. "I definitely want to continue to play."
