Yesterday, the majority of the cantonal parliament of Geneva voted in favor of the requested credit of 275 million francs for the new sports center.

With the approval of the credit, the new home of Genève Servette HC in the municipality of Lancy is one step closer to becoming a reality. The "Trèfle-Blanc" will include two ice rinks, one for 8,500 spectators and another with 240 seats for the public and schools. In addition to the sports complex, the credit entails the redevelopment of public spaces. Including other expenses, such as studies and the creation of a P+R facility, the total bill will be close to CHF 400 million, the Tribune du Genève reveals.

The facility, which will be owned by the Canton of Geneva and operated by a public limited company, is scheduled to open for the 2030-31 season while construction is set to begin in early 2026. Revenue will come from naming rights, rent paid by GSHC, and income from the commercial building.
