HC Fribourg-Gottéron might be getting a Canadian reinforcement soon. As Expressen writes, Thomas Grégoire is likely headed to Switzerland to play for the Dragons. A member of Rögle BK so far this season, the club announced today that they terminated the defenseman's contract.
Starting his career in men's hockey with the AHL's San Jose Barracuda, Grégoire headed to Finland to play for Lukko Rauma in 2020 before joining Rögle last summer.
In Fribourg, the 25-year-old would be the third import on defense and the seventh overall.
