With the National League back on the menu tonight after the international break, the ZSC Lions have announced that three of their youngsters have signed new deals with them. In the case of Vinzenz Rohrer, however, this does not necessarily mean that he will suit up for the Lions next season, as the 20-year-old forward might decide to try his luck in the organization of the Montreal Canadiens, the NHL team that drafted him in 2022.
For his part, defender Jan Schwendeler will keep playing in Zurich until at least 2028. The 20-year-old joined the club in 2023 from Zug and has mainly suited up in the Swiss League with the GCK Lions. As for Robin Zumbühl, the 25-year-old is a homegrown player who has steadily shown his improvements year by year.
This season so far, Rohrer scored seven goals and put up two assists in 17 games. Schwendeler collected seven points in 13 games with the GCK Lions and also recorded six presences with the ZSC Lions. Finally, Zumbühl has posted a save percentage of .949 in three games with the Zett.
