Rumors surrounding Tim Bozon's departure from Lausanne have been around since last year. The forward officially confirmed the report to the "Tribune de Genève" and also revealed why he did not want to confirm the rumors during the season.
"If it had been a club other than Geneva, I wouldn't have had a problem. I would have openly announced my departure," Bozon said. "But given the rivalry between GSHC and LHC, it became a bit complicated for me. I feel I've given my all to the LHC over the last five years. To protect myself from the reaction of the fans, I had expressed the wish to keep the transfer secret for as long as possible."
Bozon did not disclose the length of his new contract with the Grenats and Genève-Servette HC has not yet officially announced the signing of the forward. "Blick" did, however, report in November that he signed a four-year deal with GSHC.
