Tomas Mitell is supposedly the new head coach of HC Lugano. He will be assisted by Stefan Hedlund. "Blick" reported in March that the 44-year-old Swede figured on HC Lugano's list of potential candidates.

Mitell served as an assistant coach for the Chicago Blackhawks for over two seasons before returning to Sweden, where he became the head coach of Färjestad BK.
